HD300 & HD300C
The HD300 and HD300C , designed in 1989, is for the professional player wanting a rich sounding instrument featuring a floating soundboard and weighing less than 21 lbs. The instrument has 15 treble and 14 bass courses of 2 strings per course. This gives the player over 3 ½ octaves from a D below middle C to the D two octaves above middle C with a 16 note chromatic run built into the instrument. The HD300C has an additional 2 chromatic bridges that makes the instrument fully chromatic from top to bottom. The HD300 series uses selected Hard Maple rails, solid Maple pin-blocks, and Maple internal bracing. The Maple bridges are inlayed with solid Walnut for position markers. The back is laminated Birch, with a cut-out hand hole for east carrying, and both tripod and monoleg fittings. The top is solid Honduras Mahogany which is finished with a brown Mahogany stain filler, then the entire instrument is finished with 5 coats of hand rubbed lacquer finish. The instrument comes with a ½” padded cordura case with a shoulder strap, tuning wrench, tuning chart, and a set of double sided hammers. Also available is a Black Cherry finish on the top at a minimal additional charge.
